SAXD has been influenced by my Parents Music: Classical, 40’s, Big Band. My Music: 80’s, New Age, Metal and a lot of stuff in between. Other Influences Include: Religion-Government-Business (RGB), Conspiracy Theories, Spirituality, Arcane Esoteric Occult Information, Douglas Adams, Thomas Paine.
WHEN – Established January 2008
WHERE – San Bernardino, CA, USA
WHAT – SAXD ( sacked ). I wanted a name that was short and simple but everything was taken on the plethora of social/music websites. I did find that a misspelling of SACKED worked! So…SAXD was born!
SAXD’s genre however is still a mixed bag, it’s a little of many things. Most specifically Instrumental Rock with an upbeat melodic sound and a touch of sadness. The odd thing of SAXD’s sound is that it doesn’t fit into my favorite genres. In fact it is quite the opposite!
SAXD’s basic influences are: My Parents Music: Classical, 40’s, Big Band. My Music: 80’s, New Age, Metal and a lot of stuff in between. Other Influences Include: Religion, Conspiracy Theories, Spirituality, Arcane Esoteric Occult Information, Douglas Adams, Thomas Paine, to name a few.
SAXD’s music is composed with my computer. Currently I am using one of the variants of Finale. I have found that music makes more sense to me composing with notation type software. I use a Zoom 8 track recorder to mix it together. I also play Bass guitar but have not recorded myself yet….Well, I did have a bass demo on ReverbNation for awhile. That was me playing.
I would like to THANK Pangaea’s People and Radio Bunker for all the help and support!!!
